Sarah and I had two guests of honor with us this year -- my mom, Sharon (Nana), and my great aunt Jan. They were savoring the tomato bisque soup.

While the girls were downstairs working on a craft, the ladies exchanged tea cups.

Nana read a twist on "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" to the girls for their tea cup exchange. The poem includes the words "right" and "left" in it instructing them which way to pass their package. When the story ends, whatever package you are left holding is yours to keep.
